It isn't just about variants & surges. One of the major problems with COVID is that baseline levels of the virus are high for the majority of the year. That excludes many people, especially those at higher risk, from participating in society as most indoor spaces are unsafe.
Earthy in EV heaven@luckytran Yes, this is true. If you are over 70, as my DH is, -that is the age at which deaths are more common. Yet my GP makes no effort to mask in my presence, unless I insist. They have done nothing to clean the air in the surgery. I wait outside. We are left as the only ones in a mask
Michael Gemar@earthmothering9 @Tooden @luckytran I don’t get doctors — they presumably wash their hands and put on gloves, right? So why do they act like they believe in the Germ Theory of Disease in that way, yet think masks are unnecessary?
