A question for the kind folk here... I would love to get a small tropical aquarium. Have wanted to for some time now.
As I was at the store earlier, I was looking at what was on offer, they've got some nice basic starter aquariums, starting at 30L and then 50L.
I'm thinking the 50L would be a nice size, not too big but big enough! Probably looking to get neon tetras and maybe something else small to go with them.
Any tips gratefully received!
@paddedskew You have a lot of fun options at 50L. I’m taking a break from the hobby at the moment but I had 2 10 gallons going for a bit. (Roughly the same size I think?)
Tetras can be tight in that size but I had three rummy noses do quite well so I imagine the neons will be fine. I would look into gourami too! They are very flashy and personable fish. My dwarf gourami let me pet him and always swam up to say hi. I’d also recommend getting a snail to help with algae.
