Neither of those two memes you just linked to are about religion or criticising the Islamic religion, they’re both unoriginal, tired takes on trying to equate muslims with terrorism.

Do you post memes about violent attacks by christians? Or Judaists? Or Hindus? Or Bhuddists? Or is it just the Muslims you save that for?

Stickying a post, as a mod, to defend your own posts from criticism, is not a great look.

Frankly I find you and all of your posts to be fucking annoying whether they’re about Muslims, Christians, or whomever else. The fact that you’re a power-user of this board in addition to being a mod and you’re stickying your own post to defend garbage-tier memes you rip straight from Facebook and reddit circa 2009 just makes me think it isn’t worth it to have this board show up in my feed at all.

Maybe make them funny memes instead reposting my grandpa’s Facebook who hates muslims, that might change the reception

I agree there are quite a few apologists for Islam and Judaism in this community that have zero problem criticizing Christianity. You are merely being consistent and I applaud you for that.

Just like, as a member of the sub: I’m very certain it’s super hard to mod this sub because of the controversial nature of it’s subject matter, and I appreciate the work you put into it. Generally speaking, though, I’m going to be more likely to sub to communities where I’m less aware of the mod troubles, rather than more – when I think of a well-moderated sub, I think of one where I don’t know that mod actions are taking place. Pinning a rant is kinda the opposite of that. I have a hard time being critical of people who are doing work for me (moderating my communities) for free, but I will say I find this pinned post a bit off-putting.

I don’t care how many downvotes this post gets because every time I post something about Islam, I get people commenting and reporting the same dumb shit. For example, on my previous post were the meme said that “Islam is not the religion of peace”. We had a user report that meme for being hate speech. Really, have you guys even read the Quran. There are literally tons of verses about killing people for not believing in the faith. In fact, these verses are the reason why we get terrorist groups like ISIS an Al-Qaeda.

We also had another user report a similar post for being racist despite the fact that it has nothing to do with race. I understand that most Muslims are warm loving people but that is not an excuse to not call out religion for what it actually is.

What I find even more funny is that I posted one of the same memes on r/EXMUSLIMMEMES and r/atheistmemes over at reddit as well as s/atheistmemes over at Squabblr and people seemed to have no issues. I am honestly convinced that the people in this instance are dumber than the people on reddit and that’s really saying something.

Also, one final note. If you are a Muslim, and you don’t do any of the shit described in my memes (well actually these are not my memes they are just memes I stole from other people) I am not talking about you. I am talking about those who use religion to justify immoral acts. So don’t be offended if you are not an offender.
