What does your home screen look like? - Lemmy.world

Quite a lot of fediverse going on there^^
I’ve got 2.5 pages of apps in that folder 😅
Hope Avelon is in there! It’s my favorite app so far!
It is! I don’t use it as often, Memmy is still my favourite, but I check in on it from time to time and it’s progressing quite well
What’s the treble clef app?
Think it’s the Apple Music Classical app.
Yep that’s the one
Apple Music Classical. The best way to stream classical music now that Primephonic is gone
Huh. I wonder why it’s a separate app. Well I have it now thanks!
Not sure if you’ve ever tried classical music on Apple Music or Spotify but it’s awful. Those apps aren’t at all designed for classical. You kinda need a different app for that. They bought Primephonic a while ago and promised to make their own classical music app, and took a good long while doing it, but it finally came and I downloaded it immediately. If you know your stuff with classical it’s far easier now to find specific recordings, and if you just listen to it casually or are wanting to discover new classical music it’s good for that too.
I only really listen to a few of the most popular classics, and not on a regular basis. But I’m pretty excited to try this separate app out and discover something new. Cheers.
Mine is very close to yours.
Merlin Bird ID! Awesome.
I just recommend this app to my mother in law in lieu of one of those morbidly expansive camera bird feeders.
I have been looking at building one with a Pi for my wife.
That’s such a good ideal—good luck!
I’m curious why you put settings in your dock, do you use a VPN or need to tweak settings often?
I like the stability of keeping my settings in the same place across devices. I do travel a lot and often adjust my data roaming, SIM card, and date/time settings (I like my phone to be on my destination time the moment the plane takes off). Mostly it has to do with keeping my priority apps on the right side of the phone, rather than in the dock—my most used apps are all in the two rightmost columns.
That makes sense, thanks

Hello, fellow apple users.

Here is mine:

Looking good

You realize my new life’s work is going to be in figuring out what you’ve scratched out, right??

I like keeping a little extra space

Do you live near a coast? The weather is so nice
US west coast. Generally pretty temperate climate.

Mine is boring apart from the cute doggy. The doggy himself is less boring when not two dimensional.

That isufcu icon is a real gem
Haha, it’s definitely an eye catcher ^^
How to customize your iPhone’s app icons

If you find your current iPhone app icons boring, you can substitute them with your own using Apple’s built-in Shortcuts app.

The Verge
I have a shortcut to change the wallpaper every day to whatever is the Bing image. Keeps it fresh.

I like to keep space at the bottom, and only 3 buttons in the dock. Most-used, quick access in the bottom right.

I keep all my third-party apps on page two. That’s also the page I activate before locking the phone.

I keep things simple and use Spotlight for most navigation.

A fellow spotlight navigator! There are dozens of us!
Nothing special but I’ve enjoyed seeing other people’s home screens so here
Most used apps grouped in dock
I always tried to have my most used apps up front and upgraded to folders, once that was a thing. So far it still works for me, all else goes via spotlight. Rarely do I see page two. 🙃
Voyager seems popular here. I’ve been on Memmy before but will give it a try.
Lemmios is also a pretty good alternative. Super similar to voyager in terms of feel
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll give it a try.
I generally don’t use my “main” screen all that much, but I try to keep everything organized for easy access
Can you share your wallpaper please

On the Home Screen I use the blurred version.

The butt end of a WWDC jape becomes a beautiful new wallpaper for macOS (and iOS too!)
