@chris @MediaLawProf I thought alt text was to use words to describe images for people who can’t see the images. Why is it also needed for posts that are already in a text format?

@batyalee @chris @MediaLawProf the “text” in the original post is really an image (screenshot of text). The machine readers reading text for people who can’t see the screen don’t see the letters, I.e. can’t read it. But can read the Alt description.
