RFK Jr. says he’d sign a federal ban on abortions after three months of pregnancy
This is the best summary I could come up with:
DES MOINES, IOWA— Longshot Democratic presidential candidate and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Sunday that he would support a national ban on abortion after the first three months of pregnancy if elected.
“I believe a decision to abort a child should be up to the women during the first three months of life,” Kennedy told NBC News in an interview at the Iowa State Fair here.
The stance puts Kennedy — who’s mounting a controversial bid to unseat President Joe Biden as the Democratic standard bearer in 2024 — out of step with most of his party at a time when abortion access has been a sustained motivator for voters.
Kennedy defended running as a Democrat, despite espousing multiple typically-conservative talking points during the 15-minute interview.
For instance, Kennedy said he would not have voted to support the Inflation Reduction Act, among the biggest Democratic policy wins of Biden’s first term.
Kennedy steeply trails Biden in the polls and has been dogged by controversy during his few months as a candidate, including repeated disinformation about the efficacy of vaccinations and deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as allegations of anti-Semitic remarks.
I’m a bot and I’m open source!
Japan passed a law similar to that.
I actually prefer it. Let a child participate if they want to. And if they don’t and you make them, you’re in trouble.
That’s an interesting idea.
I feel like we need to start putting teenagers in a separate category for a lot of reasons - that’s the age where people start to search for meaning and often look outside their parents for their identity
Religion can be that for a lot of people - getting away from religion is that for others. Religion isn’t just God - it’s community, it’s history, it’s culture
I think teens should have rights like religious freedom - it’s crazy to give a child no autonomy until they’re 18, then make them responsible for their life after they’ve often spent their most formative years having every decision made for them
(Ironically, some religions incorporate a coming of age ceremony around 13)

Correct, but that isn’t a hard line where age matters if it is held at 18 instead. I think the biggest issue is Roman Catholics that force 12 year olds to pledge to be Catholic for life or be excommunicated from the church forever. That is an adult choice and no child should be forced to make.
I hope they're wrong. They're wrong, right? ... :-\
Also, how is a Republican running as a Democrat? Is it just me thinking there's a glaring flaw in the US's political mechanics? Y'know, just the one. Nothing else wrong there. ...Other than seemingly literally everything, with exactly zero hope of any meaningful change no matter what goes wrong nor how wrong it goes. sigh
Is it your belief that Joe Biden is “anti-choice?”
Because he is 100% the pick of the Dem Party
I don’t know, do you look like this?
