kira :3@jensorensen iirc isn't this exactly how the kkk rebranded themselves as a 'respectable' org for much of the 20th century? they wanted to look nice and legitimate in the mainstream so they ditched the sheets (in public anyway) and started wearing suits

@chrisisgr8 Yes, ditching the sheets for suits is a good analogy, although I would say the kkk was somewhat less successful at rebranding.
