@rahmstorf Humanity has solved great problems throughout History. Plenty of revolutions shifted the power back into hands of the people. There's no reasons why we can't do it again.
There are people who benefit from causing fear or who benefit from us believing that we can't solve this problem. Rich people, big media corps, fossile fuel industry; they profit out of our inaction. We need to be angry and fight back!
What I mean is, this time we went to far and there is no way to turn it back. That's what I mean and that's why I'm a Doomer.
But you are right to say, Humanity is the only way out of the desaster and horror coming up. We will have to stand together and fight for our freedom and our lifes and the life of our planet.
And never forget,
each other is all we've got.
@masterhajoda Yes it's too late for certain things, but certainly not too late to take action. We can still convince governments to stop subsidizing the car industry, the meat industry and the fossile fuel industry.
I don't know where you live, but here in Canada, we still give billions to those industries. It's not so late to tell governments to stop doing that! Doing so would get us at least halfway there!
