Is there a read-it-later app that offers a beautiful reading experience, and gives me the possibility to read the article but also summarizes the article and distills the main take-aways/messages with AI and shows me everything side-by-side? #reading #readitlater #readingapp #AI
@philipp This is a neat idea, do post if you find any thing.
@philipp Reader by Readwise does the latter. But the reading experience is not *that* good. I ended up unsubscribing because of that!
@lucaorio yeah, totally forgot about Reader, but I also agree with you that back when I tested an early beta of it, I wasn‘t a huge fan of the overall reading experience, might give it another try though. Thanks for the tip 🙌
@philipp heard a lot of good things about morningbrew, been meaning to try it.
@claus do you have a link by any chance? I only know Morning Brew as the daily newsletter…
@philipp oh that’s the one I meant. I guess you’re looking for something similar but where you can input articles you found yourself. Lemme know if you find any :)

@claus Oh, you probable meant Mailbrew, right? (https://mailbrew.com)

Morning Brew is actually a newsletter company, so they are creating original content but also curate, it is not an app. I am on the hunt for an app to which I can save content I want to read at a later time, summarize it, and distill key takeaways from it.

So, just take any read-it-later service, polish up the overall reading appearance, and add AI features in a meaningful way to it.

@philipp I use Omnivore to save and read it later. Yet, it doesn't offer to summarize content. To me, that's fine as reading is fun..!
@joonhyeok_ahn totally, I also use Omnivore since it is a lovely app, and yeah I agree reading is fun, one of my favorite hobbies, but I often come across articles around complex topics of which I would love to distill the main message/idea/takeaway in case I do not understand it.
@philipp i know that the developers from @omnivore are making some tests with ai, but don’t know what is the roadmap
@carmolim @omnivore lovely, great to hear that, I am already using Omnivore and love the experience so far. 😊
