@jedileah I'll be honest, but I came to fediverse harbouring the small hope it might be free of this "repost if" nonsense. I mean I will answer you, if you're curious (Yes, they are safe here, in fact had one working here for a while, and play games with one, and well it is spreading a little, so I lost count of how many we're all hanging out with here) but I don't play "repost if" games. I "re" post almost nothing, and "post" when I have something of value to share. And chain letters, no matter what the message, and how pertinent and lovely, remain chain letters and have no worth in my book.

But don't mind me. I'm cool with finding the fediverse shares some of the vices of big-social-media.

I guess soon I'll see one of those stupid arithmetic puzzles posted and lots of people arguing over their recollection of order of operations from their school years (they have been plaguing big-social-media for years, are long in the tooth as far as memes go and have a seemingly undying tenacity, just keep on circulating).

All we need now is to retort with the standard big-social-media response of "if you don't like it, scroll on" as if that was never hypocritical and applied not only to complaints and reflections also to complaints about complaints or reflections upon reflections in an infinite regress (It's turtles all the way down after all).

But I'm learning and in my fediverse nappies ;-).
