JamesLast boost: The OSM is totally free and and powers the sat nav that I now use instead of Google, OSMand.net.
As I move away from paying with my data and being exploited, I'm learning to support those who do the work and would encourage others to try out using OSM data and supporting their work.
I'm convinced the sat nav picks nicer routes to drive, too!
