@LilahTovMoon If I remember correctly, BeOS had some former engineers from Apple. I've read some old developer documentation for HaikuOS (the Open Source BeOS) and you can smell that someone from Apple was involved.
@LilahTovMoon obviously, it failed. But then one of their employees, Jeffrey Jefferson, was so dedicated to the project that he changed his name to Jeffery BeesOS and used it in his next company, Amazon
