I love AI. I think AI is the among the most important developments in the history of civilization. I also like most of the engineers working on AI -- of whom I know quite a few. It's the executives pushing out to the public half-baked, brain-dead, large language models trained on enormous of amounts of website data without the permission of those sites, who are the problem. Don't worry about sci-fi "evil computers" -- worry about the real world C-suites!
@lauren Yes, and those execs are salivating over the possibility of firing workers and replacing them with inferior, not ready for production bots, that will talk to customers very politely while getting everything wrong.
