Introducing Project IDX: An experimental new initiative aimed at bringing your entire full-stack, multiplatform app development workflow to the cloud.
💜 [2/10] As design lead for Project IDX, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to co-lead this effort with some incredible engineers, researchers, and product folks.
💜 [3/10] I’ve had to stretch every skill, from product and comms design, to prototyping and prod engineering (hello Dockerfiles!), to product strategy, communication and negotiation. I’m also so thankful for the endless support we’ve gotten from across the Google community.
💜 [4/10] And it goes without saying, this is just the beginning of our journey. The road ahead is long. I’m sure we’ll get some tips of the hat along with difficult, difficult feedback…
💜 [5/10] But gosh am I excited for the journey, and even more excited for the amazing team I get to go on that journey with.
💜 [6/10] OK, before I sign off, I wanted to share just a few quick motion studies from the identity work I did the past few months. You’ll notice a common theme — we wanted Project IDX to embody the notion of “chefs cooking for chefs” as Kathy Korevec so wisely puts it…
