This makes a lot more sense #Phish
@Jacobid I think both LivePhish and @phishnet got to the right place on this
@JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @phishnet Just going to flex a little bit and say that when I was putting the setlist up on Phish.net in real time this is exactly how I had it.
@mielcarz @JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @phishnet This is how it should be and we on HFPod said as much in our statement yesterday morning.
@rowjimmy @JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @phishnet I think Guy Forget is what it is and counts as a song but we shouldn't make it MORE than it is.

@mielcarz @phishnet @Jacobid @rowjimmy This actually touches directly on an existential dilemma lurking within many setlists. There are points where a jam may be one song or another song, depending on *what happens later*. Kind of Schrödinger's Guy Forget.

Phish has often made it easy in Tweezerfests by clearly punctuating/beginning new jams with a bit of Tweezer. But not always.

@rowjimmy @Jacobid @phishnet @mielcarz It’s always going to be hard to deal with songs that have a melody and a few lyrics but no other fixed elements.

@JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @phishnet @mielcarz Obviously it’s tricky stuff. I agree with Dan this it is a thing… but stand by the phrase “barely a song”.

These will always have to be taken on a case by case basis. I’m glad to see that this one has come around to a reasonable place.

Now, about the 2000-10-01 version…

@rowjimmy @Jacobid @mielcarz @phishnet I think this all stems from the Phish org being clear they consider this a proper song.
@JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @mielcarz @phishnet Sure. Which is fine and fun.
It’s basically the same as Kung.
@JeremyDGoodwin @Jacobid @mielcarz @phishnet Allow me to add, that I don’t see any debate here. As far as I can tell, we’re basically in agreement.
