How to have a non-static life - Lemmy Today

I’m pretty good at not dwelling at the past. Shit happens sometimes in life, and we do our best and move on. Being positive gives a lot of extra strength to change things.
Sometimes people ask me questions like “where do you want to be in 5 years”. I say I can’t possibly answer that question, because I don’t know what my situation or the global situation will look like in 5 years. Where do I want to be? Someplace stable, safe, where I can have my physical and social needs comfortably secured. Anything beyond that is secondary and malleable by whatever the present looks like.

If you ask me, every year feels worse than the previous year. I’m not depressed on a personal level but I have no faith in human leaders whatsoever. I see the self destruct course in every decision.

I will take care of myself, that’s all I can do. :)

The best leaders don’t identify themselves as leaders, IMO. They just know what needs to be done and people get behind that confidence and join them.
Absolutely. The best people lead themselves and that encourages others to follow. People don’t really need all these company hierarchies we have. If there was a situation needing a good leader, I doubt most people would pick their boss. :)
