Build Uh BearWhen I was in high school (~10 years ago), our GSA club would literally fill an entire classroom. Today I found out that last year only two people joined, and this year there is no one.
I’m worried about my former English teacher who was the clubs sponsor. He was my first openly gay teacher/adult in my life. He’s not backing down and is keeping all of his pride flags up in his classroom this year.
One of my other friends is teaching in a county near where we’re both from. A teacher at his school was fired last year for showing a Disney movie to her students.
It’s hard to not believe that these are the end times.
