A lot of people think that posting should be part of the MVP.
I really don’t agree as most people lurk, most of the rest only comment and a relatively small number of people post.
As a developer, if I was able to release what this dev did in the time they did it, I would be losing my mind. This person is obviously working like crazy (and in a very smart manner) to do what was done. You have to choose what to focus on.
In other words, I completely agree with you.
limerodThe primary purpose for most people is to read, reply, and comment on posts. This is a good compromise for most people. For post creation, you have other clients until it is done.
Spliffman1If there are more people like me, and I believe there are, former lurkers will be more active here, even posting… See my stats in my other comment. I think the lurker levels were way higher on reddit, and more of us are down for the cause here, commenting more and even posting
He’s said posting should be added this week, hope that is the case sooner rather than later … I do post here , and on Reddit I pretty much didn’t (like 3 posts in 2 years on Reddit). Here on lemmy I’ve posted like 37 times in 2 months… So I for one do miss it. Love Sync and would prefer to do everything from here. Right now I’m forced to post from am app I don’t like so much that I had to reinstall for that function.

We’re essentially beta testing an app, you can hold off until the full release if you prefer, no one is forcing you to use the Beta.

I’m all for Sync like everyone else here, but I agree that not being able to submit posts is pretty weird
It’s a Beta, wait for the full release if you don’t like it.
Or use one of the many FOSS apps, no one is forcing you to use Sync Beta.
