How does one get into hypno and learn how to safely hypnotize?
@madasrabbits the most common recommendation is getting a copy of Mind Play by Mark Wiseman.
@madasrabbits If you have a Fetlife account, my prompts for a Hypno 101 talk are at https://fetlife.com/users/5729111/posts/8036861 . The prompts don't make a proper self-learning resource but they can at least give an outline of things you may want to learn more about.

@ocnurb okay questions:
I was under the impression that the "play" aspect tended to happen while the sub was in a trance, ex. "When I touch you, it will feel intense", whereas that has mentions of setting triggers/suggestions while they are in trance, then taking them out of it and using the trigger/suggestions. Why might someone chose one or the other?

@madasrabbits I broadly split people who use hypnosis for kink into a) people into hypnosis itself and b) people using hypnosis to heighten other kink experiences.

The first group are far more likely to fetishise hypnotic states and techniques as fun things in themselves. So going into trance or being in one are turn-ons. I'd expect this group to much more enjoy stuff done while under.

@madasrabbits The second group more tend to want to use hypnosis for things in scenes e.g. imaginary restraints, active mindset changes, sensory hallucinations etc.

This is a gross generalisation and people from both groups can like stuff from each side. As a tist, dropping someone is hot for me, but messing with them after installing post hypnotic effects is why I do it more than for it's own sake.

@ocnurb wait you could put someone under, tell them they are restrained, bring them up, and they will still feel that way? That's so cool omg now I have to find someone to try stuff on
It's like cheap kink, except even hotter
@madasrabbits you can give someone a suggestion that they will stick as you want when you emerge them from trance; so walk around with them and then stick them to lampposts, bar tops, flogging benches as you please, whatever. And that's just one way to play with things, if you can describe an effect than you can have a go at making it happen. I've kissed people into trance before.
