@davidrevoy the energy and vibe has definitely changed. I agree with the other comments. It's beautiful to see those pieces. They are great. I also like what you're doing now. There is this feel of awe and connection to our inner child defending what's right...
I am curious: how did you settled on your actual style?
@globcoco Thank you !
My actual style was probably forged with the evolution of my taste. I had strong tendencies to smooth everything when I was younger, almost until not a single brush stroke was visible. More like classic paintings. Now I like to see some parts "raw", exposing the economy of brush stroke and texture. I also had to divide my time budget; I couldn't spend 30h on a painting anymore (especially on panels of Pepper&Carrot), so I learned to simplify and to adapt with what I could.
@davidrevoy thanks a lot for answering 😊
That is so interesting.
What strikes me in your style is boldness of traits and depth (and ofc course emotions and meaning). The act of simplifying somehow made your style more asserted...
I am not an artist like you. I do #sketchnote and I definitely take way too much time. 😜
I don't know yet how to get quicker (the longest time is spent of dealing with the data)... yet. But practice will tell. 😊
