It's the patriarchy...the USWNT has won the world cup FOUR times and, prior to this year, never finished lower than third. But imagine the gall of these accomplished, winning female athletes demanding to be compensated commensurate with their success! Republicans/MAGAs/"conservatives" can't stand the fact that the USWNT has been more successful than the men's team for years. It goes against their view of women as second-class citizens.
