The restroom sign we need to see more of in the world.

@johnettesnuggs I'd like to respectfully offer another perspective. I wouldn't feel safe sharing a public restroom with cis-het men.

I would love to live in a world where women are always safe with men. But that world doesn't exist just yet.

This isn't about trans women. I'm happy to share a restroom with them, so they can feel safe too.

Some cis-het men leer and make suggestive comments to women out in the open. I don't see how that behaviour would change in the confines of a restroom.

@lulu_powerful I experienced gender neutral bathrooms in Europe. After the first time running into a guy coming out of a stall and thinking I was in the wrong restroom, it was fine. I was there to pee, not check out the guys, they were there to pee, not check out the girls. I don’t even normally make eye contact in the public restroom anyways, so it was cool. If they leered, I didn’t notice anyways.
