I’m on the other side. I have a 10 and it’s just dropped below 90% on the battery which makes sense because I’m no having to look for charging before the end of the evening. I also have a Synology nas which handles a lot of my “cloud” needs like backup, and your concerns about walled garden don’t really seem to apply to me.

The biggest issue I have is even a decade later my typing speed and accuracy is well below my blackberry days. I’m looking at getting a larger model to hopefully improve things.

Consider enabling swipe, you can get away with allot of inaccuracies swiping away the words and to me it’s allot faster.

I would be happier if they had a file system thay worked like android. It bugs me to no end that i still can’t copy files to and from my computer without a cloud solution. Maybe one day they will add that.

I came from android though so I’m used to having full control.

I’m not sure about accessing files directly from PC but transferring files via and SMB share folders seems reasonable without relying on cloud storage. I setup a dedicated folder that I share via SMB and access it using the files app.
