tl,dr; it’s email
@alexwild ouch! This hit close to home 🙉
@alexwild Thinking! They think all day 🤔 and night
@TatianaIlyina thinking about whether I actually answered that email or left it as a draft
@alexwild it’s like swatting flies
@alexwild I dunno, I got a full week of reading old ASTM documents to see how much they match their revisions coming up, bit more exciting than email
@alexwild "SCIENCE!!!"
@alexwild i knew I has that saved away somewhere...
@alexwild Mostly chasing money, no?
@alexwild I made a mistake of installing one of those programs that track what I go on my computer, and it’s between 10–25 hours of email per week. I guess I’m a professional emailer since that’s the most common thing I do.
@alexwild
I'm not "important" enough to get that many emails. 😎
@alexwild I wish, most of the time it's "waiting for an email", too!
@alexwild hey, we also save journal articles we will never read!
@alexwild Daddy spends all day updating his biosketch, current and pending, and coa according to the new format of the day.
@inundata @alexwild emailing the NIH help desk to figure out why their program to make biosketch formatting "easier" is mangling citations 🤦‍♀️
