What's your favorite pokéball design?
Mine are the Hisuian balls, specifically the Hisuian ultra ball. I just love the design of the latch, and the color palette used for all the balls. I especially enjoy the little flourish on the yellow stripes of the ultra ball! What’s your favorite? Any particular reasons why?
I love to “color match” Pokéballs with the Pokémon inside, even if that means that I have to toss a thousand balls at something not meant to be caught in that particular ball. Example: Shiny Umbreon and Heavy Ball are a perfect match, but Umbreon / Eevee is so lightweight that trying to catch one in a Heavy Ball comes with a big penalty / super low chance of success. Snorlax on the other hand is “meant to” be caught with a Heavy Ball, but I prefer the Lure Ball’s look for that one, only that Snorlax isn’t a water-type so the Lure Ball doesn’t get its bonus catch rate.
Generally I’m a fan of most Apriballs, but I also like the design of the Luxury Ball.
… Huh. So it is. Legends: Arceus was my first interaction with a Heavy Ball, and in those games it gets a bonus to capture any Pokémon that hasn’t noticed the player. How odd.
I also totally understand where you’re coming from. If I was a more patient person, I’d probably be the same. I am, unfortunately, not that disciplined. 😅
