What an adorable birb ❤️
@ct_bergstrom Very nice picture!
@Rook I think this whole account is for you xD
This looks like the kind of kid who spends all their time talking to whatever adults will listen about their obsession with traffic light timing. And at first it's kinda cute and a little annoying, but then it gets really interesting because it turns out some of the light timing problems are related to graph theory.
(this got way too specific... But you know the type right? Always calls you Mr. ___ or Mrs. ___ even if you tell them not to?)
Carl, is it OK if I share this baby crow over on tumblr? I'll link back to this post and your account obviously.
People have been saying that this is a baby crow over there and it's driving me up the wall:
@futurebird @ct_bergstrom My searching got me to a bird called a buff-banded rail https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Buff-banded_Rail_chick_%28Gallirallus_philippensis%29_%2836761960344%29.jpg
[Edit: I'm not entirely convinced that it's the right bird but it seems like a good lead]
Yay! Thanks! The post about fake, incorrect baby birds is up. Now I just need to identify the "not crow" and it will be complete:

Baby crow, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo…
If I have to have this stuck in my head, I'm going to make it *everyone's* problem.
@futurebird Also, I'd like to show you this neat art of the growth of a crow from egg to fledgeling. It's a Carrion Crow, but they really don't look much different from American Crows.
Crows reach sexual maturity at 3 years old and can live to be 17-20 years old. This chart shows the growth from the moment the bird hatches up to its Juvenile form. This guide features the species: Carrion Crow Paper: – A5 (148mm x 210mm) – Single sided – Archival Matt, 230gsm – Ma
