Anil DashIt’s wild to see the entirety of Union Square shut down by fans of a Twitch streamer. Of course, since the fan base is largely Black & brown boys, NYPD is responding like this is a mass shooting, instead of the warm welcome they give to whites supremacist antivaxer rallies.
Don Whiteside@anildash sounds like my wife’s home town of Ocean City MD and when there are big crowds on the boardwalk. There’s some line between fun-rowdy good for the economy crowds and scary-rowdy imminent violence scaring the customer crowds and it seems to be drawn in melanin.
