I watched a playthrough of Ultima I, got about half way through and WHAT.

I've heard of the game of course and I was vaguely familiar with it. But I had absolutely no idea that THAT happened half way through. I was only half paying attention when things changed. I was looking at the screen confusedly thinking YouTube had switched to another video entirely and I just didn't notice. Then frantically rewinding to see what I missed. So bizarre.

I won't spoil it if you don't know what I'm talking about. Here's the video I was watching. The guy only has like 2k subs, but he has a really pleasant and interesting narration about old adventure games that's great to have on in the background while I'm drawing.

@pulsar oh yeah I got into this thanks to spoony back when he was a thing. "that" does happen yes
@oceanotter
I just had to laugh. It's the absolute most ridiculous thing xD
@pulsar idk how far into the series you get but I hope you get to ultima 4-6 cause those are a wild ride full of stuff you still don't see in games today
@oceanotter
I'm watching Ultima II now and it's also totally off the rails x) The guy whose channel I'm watching hasn't done any of the later ones yet. But I might have to look up some playthroughs anyway.
@pulsar if you can find them around the spoony reviews are still the best ones imo. It's a real shame he went crazy and stopped making things.

@oceanotter I found them, thanks. A full 4.5 hours long no less! I'll definitely check it out.

I've never heard of Spoony before you mentioned them just now. But clicking through to the video, it's just one comment after another saying "it's too bad about Spoony". He must've really fallen hard :c That's a shame

@pulsar yeah he struggled with mental illness. Still does. Enjoy it though! He's really funny and I think you'll see why
