Ham & asparagus crepes please
๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ๐Ÿซ“
Oooh, going to be windy today.
Is that a thing? I donโ€™t have the stinky pee gene
Apparently yes. Asparagus can trigger flatulence as well as stinky pee.
I get the stinky pee but not the flatulence
TIL. Perhaps Iโ€™m immune. Now artichokes on the other handโ€ฆ
Morning chef โ˜บ๏ธ how you going?
i am hiding from somebodyโ€™s farts
Smart. While youโ€™re in hiding, could I please get a pot of pork beans and cabbage, with eggs?
Would you like some onions with that?
Yes actually, and lots of garlic. Splendid idea
Some over yeasted not quite fully baked bread?
Donโ€™t be ridiculous seagoon
With some nice sour beer

Impeccable service as always good sir.
I think this was what @bottomracer was talking about yesterday. Winter in South America
Mid-winter temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius in South America leave climatologists in disbelief

Winter temperatures have neared 40 degrees Celsius in parts of South America, which is up to 20C higher than normal for this time of year and the equivalent of Sydney hitting 35C in the first week of August.

ABC News

In the book about Africa Iโ€™m reading Schweitzer describes how crops canโ€™t be planted there as the too warm seasons make the plants grow so fast the wheat seeds donโ€™t fatten and potatoes donโ€™t grow tubers. They need time to develop. Will that happen here?

I took the seasons for granted. I think everyone did. ๐Ÿ˜”

A lot of things collapse when the weather changes. Things like apples need a period of cold weather over winter. Often multiple things are synchronised, like the flowering and growth of particular plants and insects and animals that are part of cycle of polination, or predators that eat pests etc. Even very small changes in climate can have major effects on the way everything works together.
A lot of plants literally require a cold period to fruit (berries, etc). Constantly warm weather makes a lot of plants lose their shit, itโ€™s like foregoing sleep. You think youโ€™re good at first, then the wheels come off.

So many records have been broken this year.

Really makes one wonder about tipping points.

I have the door open to let in the mild fresh air and hear the birdies sing ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿฆœ
The mild fresh air is travelling very fast out there. Fresh air might be nice, but I think the turbulance is a bit much to keep the door open.
Time to close the door, the traffic has arrived.

Iโ€™m definitely not feeling as cold, actually pretty warm to be honest.

Please let the rain stay away today, at least till the afternoon.

Morning everyone
Morning mum, hope you have a great day ๐Ÿ˜Š

Time to brave the wind and walk Mr Woof. I just need to figure out what to wear for 16 degrees but feels like 12. Maybe a light jumper.

Edit: Made it back home without blowing away. The light jumper was a pretty good choice, a touch too warm when out of the wind, but that didnโ€™t happen much. We also got a bonus chat with a neighbour reminising about all the changes in the neighbourhood.

The wind was enough that the cat, when offered supervised outdoor time on four separate occasions (as cats often require), came right back in each time within 30 seconds.
Hello migraine my old friendโ€ฆ
Heading to the office today as a favour for a colleague who needs me to do some testing. Saves him coming in from way out wherever he lives and Iโ€™m just a tram ride up Collins St from work. I think this might be the first Friday Iโ€™ve been in the office since March 2020โ€ฆ
I prefer going in on Fridays, the commute is faster and I often have something on after work thats closer to the office than my home.
Funny how a little bit of warmer weather can just make moments feelโ€ฆ peaceful.
Right?! Its a totally different Vibe out there!

Acquired maccha bikkies. All downhill from hereโ€ฆ

Woah โ€ฆ Matcha Oreos ๐Ÿคฏ
I have designs on filling the position of Biscuit Overlord. Itโ€™s a grueling campaign, but ultimately itโ€™s about the journey isnโ€™t it?
Mrs B was a bit disappointed her slow cooked lamb wasnโ€™t ready in the recipeโ€™s time line. We had to have a frozen meal and leave the lamb overnight. Turns out we used a 2.8kg cut instead of the recommended 1.5kg. Oops.
Drooling over here.
โ€ฆcom.au/โ€ฆ/slow-cooker-lamb-and-rice-soup It was pretty easy! And looks like itโ€™ll give us meat for DAYS!
