So I've actually gone viral on...Quora. And in retrospect I wish I had written it elsewhere. I think it's something that needs saying by now.

It appears as an answer to the question

"It is often said that 97% of scientists agree that human activity is causing global warming. Who are the 3% of scientists that do not agree, and what is their evidence?"

I won't bet whether or not this was asked in good faith, and answered assuming it were.
