Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova 'dies of starvation' after decade of only eating raw fruit and vegetables - sh.itjust.works

Saw this story. Title should be ‘Idiot dies of starvation after not consuming vital nutrients.’

I’ve been vegan for years, I respect vegans who take their diet seriously, but this woman didn’t. She took ideology seriously.

You can’t just eat anything and expect to be ok.

The title should be “Influencer dies after contracting cholera-like disease and refusing medical help.”
Yes, her diet didn’t do her any favors, but it didn’t kill her.
Veganism isn’t a diet.
what?
Veganism isn’t a diet. Veganism is an ideology that excludes animal exploitation from human life. Veganism is about animal rights, not diet or even food. People who are vegan eat a plant based diet because that aligns with the ideology. There are many plant based diets, some of which are not adequate like eating nothing but fruit, but the diets are not vegan.
veganism (noun): the practice of eating only food not derived from animals and typically of avoiding the use of other animal products.
Oh wow you pulled out a dictionary instead of being intellectually curious and learning from what people who are actually vegan believe. Good job
Your opinions aren’t facts.
Trusting a dictonary over a random stranger on the internet, lol. What a fool.

veganism

What dictionary are you pulling that out of? Your asshole??

veganism

the theory or practice of abstaining from the consumption and use of animal products. While some vegans avoid only animal-derived food, many others also exclude any items that use animals as ingredients or for testing. These prohibited products can range from clothing (e.g., leather) to makeup. Dietary veganism differs from vegetarianism in that vegetarians may choose to consume some animal-derived foods such as milk, eggs, and honey on the grounds that animals do not need to be slaughtered to obtain these products. Veganism is motivated by a variety of reasons, including personal health, animal rights, environmentalism, and ethics. It is generally practiced less as a dietary preference and more as a lifestyle choice and form of activism.
