FBI finds 200 sex trafficking victims, 59 missing children in two-week sweep
This is the best summary I could come up with:
The FBI found 200 sex trafficking victims and more than 125 suspect during a two-week child explotation operation in July, federal officials said Tuesday.
“Sex traffickers exploit and endanger some of the most vulnerable members of our society and cause their victims unimaginable harm," Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement.
“This operation, which located 59 actively missing children, builds on the tremendous work the FBI has undertaken over many years to rescue minor victims and arrest those responsible for these unspeakable crimes.
The FBI-led initiative in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) “focused on identifying and locating victims of sex trafficking and investigating and arresting individuals and criminal enterprises involved in both child sex and human trafficking,” federal officials said.
“Behind every statistic, there is a person with dreams, aspirations, and the right to live a life free from child sex trafficking and exploitation," NCMEC President and CEO Michelle DeLaune said in a statement.
Oh dear Lord - I had no idea what you were talking about so I checked in with my friend Google.
I miss the days of my youth when conspiracy theories were fun.

There are a lot more than 59 missing children at any time. There are hundreds of millions of people in the US, a few will go missing all the time.
most missing children are with their other parent who is hiding from court ordered custody, and thus don't even know they are missing. However kidnapping (often for sex) does happen once in a while, it takes time for the FBI to track these down and in the mean time those doing it have time to kidnap a 58 more kids.
there is nothing unique about the US here. all countries have similar problems, as criminals are everywhere and it takes time for law enforcement to track down any particular criminal.
Children are easy to carry and often easily accessible. Sadly, it is often as simple as driving close to one in a car, then pulling them inside.
Actually, that can work for adults as well, according to some vids and news stories I’ve seen. Many crimes are incredibly easy. Just like the death toll and environmental/monetary/health cost of cars, it’s just not mainstream knowledge.
59 is .0000174% of the US population according to Wolframa Alpha.
Does that help visualize it?
I wouldn't fully congratulate them just yet, a lot of the time 'arresting sex trafficers' is just code for arresting sex workers engaging in consensual sex acts, here's an example of them doing just that in February 2022.
Glad to hear the children were rescued tho, they deserve congrats for that much at least.
