I was not expecting to laugh as much as I did or to feel so much. There are places where it should've felt too much or too on the nose, but it never reached that point for me - it always deflected it with sincerity and meta and hope.

Also, the songs ruled.

@kirkenovak That's always the worry! People say "oh, you have to see it, it's the best" - and it was. I had the same positive experience with the D&D movie.

@roclaverton do not mention the D&D movie to me. I have a brain worm because of it. My current obsession is whatever Xenk and Edgin had going on in that film. (Also, Doric.)
