Just this week, now in Saigon but about to head home again tomorrow...
@[email protected] How was it? I haven't been in six or seven years, and last time I was there it was feeling overwhelmed by construction. I haven't been in a rush to return, but I'm always curious if it is settling down much yet.
There are still some beautiful quiet beaches, but not easy to find. There's a crazy amount of massive luxury resorts and amusement parks. And still quite a lot of construction ongoing. We had a great time and it's beautiful, but also a bit weird and being ruined by commerce I'm afraid.

I guess I'll stick to the Nam Du Archipelago when I want island life out that way.

And we were there in the low/rainy season... I can't imagine what it will be like in peak times.
