This needs to be boosted far and wide as a template other news organizations can follow. 6 hours ago they posted “hello world” and now the local feed for the #BBC mastodon server has postings from some of their shows. Stop on by their local feed and favorite, boost or just say Hi. https://social.bbc/public/local Thanks to @BBC_News_Labs @BBC5Live @BBCRD @BBCRadio4 @lisamelton @jeff https://fediscience.org/@Ruth_Mottram/110809282977375207

@amart @BBC_News_Labs @BBC5Live @BBCRD @BBCRadio4 @lisamelton @jeff You know they're already being blocked by many instances because of the BBC's institutional transphobia and pro-government propaganda bias?

@amart

I *REALLY* Hope That the BBC knows that some of its reporting of late has been downright transphobic and used some pretty horrid rhetoric against other minorities too. It needs to be a good citizen of the #Fedi to earn back the trust it's lost.

I say that both as a former BBC staff member and someone that the BBC regularly calls when it needs expert opinion on the clean car and green energy world.

@Aminorjourney @BBC_News_Labs @BBC5Live @BBCRD @BBCRadio4 @lisamelton @jeff I agree BBC, NYTimes, Washington Post and other US National news organizations (who I’m most familiar with) need to do better. While I am appalled by certain actions at all of these news organizations (and others) - what I most fear is we get invaded by the Rupert Murdoch news empire or similar which is 24/7 propaganda.
