No Megan Rapinoe slander will be tolerated. None, you hear me? Rapinoe was the first white football player to support Colin Kaepernick. Soccer is football.

I'm scared of France, Netherlands, and England. The US didn't get much worse. Everyone else has gotten a lot better.

The "I'm a Fox watcher that can't name 3 players in the US Women's Nation Team" to "I'm now an expert on women's soccer, and make more misogynistic comments about the USWNT than Alexi Lalas" pipeline is always in full effect.

Everyone mad that the USWNT was dancing before the game? Just be quiet. Everyone gets ready for competition in different ways.

One of the purest moments in sports history was Diego Maradonna dancing with a ball before a game. His childlike joy was undeniable. The sheer skill with which he played with and danced with the ball, let everyone else know that this boy is not normal.

But when girls do it, it's bad?

I'm disappointed in Carli Lloyd too. She should know better.

@mekkaokereke Carli Lloyd has been making passive aggressive comments about Rapinoe since she retired. There's something going on there that I don't know the full history of, but I'm sadly unsurprised that she's continuing and being more blatant.

Personally, I wear my Megan Rapinoe jersey proudly.

@Emily @mekkaokereke I thought the Nation did nicely describing everything that I didn't love about Carli Lloyd's scolding and rebukes. https://www.thenation.com/article/society/carli-lloyds-attacks-on-the-uswnt-are-personal-and-political/
Carli Lloyd’s Attacks on the USWNT Are Personal—and Political

The US Women’s National Team has always carried a double burden: They need to be the best, and they need to be global soccer icons.

The Nation
@delfuego @mekkaokereke Yes, that's exactly what I've been seeing from her, and it's awfully frustrating.
