There are rumors that the alleged discovery of a room-temperature superconducting material is being replicated by other labs. If that's true it's a huge breakthrough - a lot of skepticism is justified right now, but this is looking less and less like cold fusion or the EM drive and more like something that could be scientifically viable. This could be a huge breakthrough for the world.

@jayreding We have two replications and two failed replications, that I've seen. Most interestingly, we have a simulation from Lawrence Berkeley Labs that say it should be a SC but tricky to produce...which would explain why people are having a hard time replicating it. Keeping my eye on this!
