@itsfoss Brave and Vivaldi run on Chrome's engine, they are basically just reskins, so I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they'd ship it too. 🤷‍♂️

@MarcinW @itsfoss Brave is a fork they are under no obligation to implement this and also WEI in it`s current state will not be legal in EU because of GDPR.

@MarcinW @itsfoss Chromium is open source. If this is something Google actually ended up pushing, pretty sure it wouldn't take long until someone removes all the DRM bs

@msb98 @MarcinW @itsfoss They are smarter that letting this happen. This DRM feature is not to be implemented in browser as such. They are asking the website developers to only work on Chrome, or in other words "Only run on trusted browser". Nobody is safe.
