Meant for the desktop means itās not meant for anything else. Itās mentioned twice and if you read this thread you see that both myself and the developer made some comments about it already.
If you want to have something that works well on mobile either stick with the default UI, check out Voyager at m.lemmy.world or try Photon at photon.xylight.dev. We provide options and you make the choice if that works for you or not.
