There are so many dangers in Florida that I'd completely forgotten that leprosy from armadillos was on the list. It's one of the things I knew as a kid living in the country, but unlike racoons, armadillos don't turn up in town so I haven't thought about it in eons.

WKMG News 6 & ClickOrlandoIt's not something people should be all that concerned about unless they hunt and eat armadillos or are friends with those who do (hence why I moved back into town as a teenager and totally forgot it was a thing until today), though I am mildly surprised that the CDC is only now saying it's endemic in Florida, considering that I was aware it was a danger with armadillos when I was a kid.
