Head of vaccine task force in the UK confirms that the reason vulnerable people in the UK weren't given Evusheld - and thus had to stay shielding, their lives wrecked - was because government didn't want to spend money on us. Disgusting when they bunged so much to their cronies.
@mpe I'm not at all sure about the classification of the UK as a "leading country"..
@Call @mpe Now what is the definition of "leading country"? I doubt my country had this evusheld thing, and our GDP is rather high
@mpe Even on a reductionist cost benefit analysis massively reducing 500,000 peoples active participation in the economy would have cost more than the treatment.

@mpe

What's more Nazi than killing the old, immunocompromised, and poor?

@mpe I've never heard of this medication, sounds incredibly important, I wonder why the media hasn't covered it
@jriddell they have! There have been national pieces on the BBC, ITV, Ch4, articles in the Times, the Guardian, the Mail and elsewhere.

@mpe

We spent so many months, locked inside our home. Not allowed to leave, even me, because I might bring it back to my wife. We were lucky - we had a decent front and rear garden and later on I set up a quarantine tent so we could meet with family through a clear shield, out in the garden, but so many living in high rises and flats... just couldn't. And that fat f*cker was having bloody parties?

@mpe

I've just spent time with about two hundred friends and druids camping, and I met one family whose sixteen year old daughter has gone silent since isolation. She doesn't interact, doesn't know how to. I'm pretty sure she's filled with PTSD, and all because one of her family members was also immune suppressed. And now you tell me we could have had a risk assessed alternative? While that fat f*cker was having parties?
