GildedGhoti@milkcircus omg I love this!! I really love how all the details stand out on the pink x blue version. The black x white one would definitely fit in more with my wardrobe. Will the black ruffles and black background be two different textures or finishes? The genuine leather has me FOAMING AT THE MOUTH. Yes pls sell me a cute carousel purse that won’t peel. Is this gonna be a preorder or a KS?
@gildedghoti Thanks so much! ☺️ No, they'll be the same texture! A friend of mine suggested maybe making all the vertical lace details white on the black background but I'm conflicted, I really like the way it looks now, kind of silly and asymmetrical. And it's meant to match a hat & dress I'm designing that have similar alternating colors. I haven't decided if it'll be pre-order or KS yet bc I'm still designing the other collection pieces and I'm struggling with a current KS 😅
@milkcircus I feel like the bows alternating colors would still give it that alternating vibe while having all the vertical lace be white would it more clearly as a carousel. The black on black is very hard to see, and it would be so cute if it really popped in pictures. I’m looking forward to seeing the hat and dress! I’m sorry that your current KS has been such a struggle. I hope things get better!! 🙏
@gildedghoti I think the bows help with the alternating colors but my hesitation is with the ribbon lacing, you can see going vertically the lacing matches the bows too to kind of give the illusion the ribbon lacing leads up to the center and makes the bow. If I alternate the vertical strip color, I'll have to change the ribbon lacing so white bows would look like they're being laced into black if that makes sense

Idk if you could possibly source some black suede for the background color so that the black frills stand out visually. I’m not sure what finishes are available to you.
@gildedghoti no worries! I actually did a draw over and asked for some opinions from here & my friends elsewhere because a friend of mine suggested the same kind of change a few weeks back
I personally don't like suede so it would still be all leather but changing the color is something I am considering!
@milkcircus I completely understand not liking suede. It’s never my first choice, but if the shoes or bags are cute enough, I cave. And this bag is absolutely adorable but in a “you can dress more ott or more casually” with it way.
I remember you saying you didn’t like the white bow being tied into the black ribbon, but I think it looks fine-like the bows are horses on the ribbon and lace carousel poles.
@gildedghoti yes exactly, that was the intent with the design :D the bows are like "horses" and the lace are carousel poles and typically carousel horses vary a lot in design, that was my initial inspo for doing alternating colors

I’m usually too focused on the carving and colors of the animals to pay attention to the pole designs, but I have noticed that they will vary in art of carousels. I don’t think having them not alternating takes away from the design though. It still gives me clear carousel vibes.
@gildedghoti I think it reads still too, it comes down a lot to aesthetic preferences so I'm thinking about what I like more ^^ When I receive the bag in person and review it, I'll make a decision
