This kind of gaming in a complex system is why few dynasties/empires can survive past the 300 yr mark. Those at the top of the system have full control and discontent in the bottom brews.
A look at Chinese history shows that very few survive past the 300 yr mark for exactly these types of reasons.
The US has already done well with 250 or so. It's a matter of when the collapse happens now. The more of this kind of stuff they pull, the faster they will drive discontent to the level of upheaval.
@alexwild The United States has a roughly 2/3 eligible voting rate. This is what happens when a massive chunk of the electorate ignores their civil responsibility for whatever stupid justification: other people decide for you, usually in ways that only benefit them. If you don’t like what’s happening politically but you’re too lazy to vote, you have no right to complain.
The people get exactly the government they deserve.
