One thing to know:
Unlike probably any #anime fan I know, I’m not into gaming. I casually play #YuGiOh Duel Links but the only consoles I ever owned myself were Gameboys (color and advance) and I essentially only used them to play Pokemon a long time ago.
My husband is a gamer and I sometimes play party games like Mario Kart and I’ve tried my hand (and wasn’t good at) some of his Zelda games.
Whenever I hear about a game being popular I just shrug and admire the fanwork I see in social media.

I think I understand the appeal of being (in some way) active but going with the flow that a game creates, but it doesn’t really work for me.

By now the most important limiting fractor is time. When I’m not watching anime or reading manga, I’m usually creating my own stories.

I think that games are not my thing because they give you a semblance of control, but either you just follow a story that you can’t truly influence (there’s more or less options, but never complete freedom), or there is no story at all.
I guess I prefer the two extremes of passsively watching a story and coming up with everything myself 🤔

So now I’m interested to hear other voices: What draws you to gaming? Is there a certain kind of games that you like? Any that you really dislike?

@yellowjitsch I'm obsessed with games with really good characters customization I also like visual novels because you are usually given choices and can have multiple different endings.im also really into dress up games especially on mobile

@pudding If I had more time, VNs are something I’d like to try. I imagine it’s interesting to explore the different ways a story can go from a common point based on choices 🤔

@yellowjitsch yeah i think the best part is seeing all the different endings especially when its a horror visual novel but even otome sometimes have a really good plot besides the romance
