Google tries to defend it's Web Environment Integrity - Lemmy Today

I’m happy to see this being noticed more and more. Google wants to destroy the open web, so it’s a lot at stake.

There’s an ongoing protest against this on GitHub, symbolically modifying the code that would implement this in Chromium. See this lemmy post and this GitHub commit. Feel free to “Review changes” –> “Approve”. Around 300 people have joined so far.
A peaceful protest against Web Environment Integrity - Lemmy.ca

I thought this was kind of a fun way to show discontent with Chromiums added Web Integration - someone made a pull request to simply remove it. Its already been approved by a lot of us, why not add your approval as well? Click the Approve button and add your name to the list of people supporting the removal. I think there’s some non-symbolic effort going on in ungoogled-chromium.

Looks like a good project, I didn’t know about its existence.
