At #ICML2023 we will have a workshop on Duality Principles.

"Duality is a principle, it gives two different views of the same object"

Duality is not a niche topic, it's for everybody. Hope to see you there!

ICML 2023 Workshop on Duality Principles for Modern ML

First talk in the workshop by Ronny Bergman from NTNu on optimization on manifolds.
Jia Jie Jhu talking about duality for distributionally robust learning.
Next talk by Taiji Suzuki on Convergence of mean field Langevin dynamics: Duality viewpoint and neural network optimization.

And there a number of people in the room attending the workshop that is full of math. And this is also the last day of the conference but these people chose to come to the workshop.

There is still hope for the ML community I guess 😅

Next talk by Len Spek on Duality for Neural Networks through Reproducing Kernel Banach Spaces.
Talk by Amy zhang on Dual RL: Unification and New Methods for Reinforcement and Imitation Learning
Last talk by Ehsan Amid on A Dualistic View of Activations in Deep Neural Networks
The panel.
