@BTyson I don't think there is much difference yet. Firefish is a recent fork.

@BTyson They're not forks of Mastodon, but they federate with it.

@BTyson They can make longer posts, they have text search, they let you use Markdown in posts. There's more but I can't think of it. The #accessibility isn't very good; I hope it improves. I found some unlabeled fields, controls marked with what orca calls "Chinese characters", and some of the instances have a challenging captcha. They will take Mastodon user lists, like your followers.
