Pre-local parade commercials include one from the Muckleshoot tribe complete with canoeing shots.

Local festival is Seafair, aka greater Seattle's annual festival.

Seafair is big enough to have the parade locally televised (KIRO). Next weekend's hydroplane races and air show is usually televised.
Alaska Airlines has an employee dance team performing to "I Want To Dance With Somebody".

Seattle Kraken has a marching band, and it's in the parade.

Officially it's still the Seafair Torchlight Parade even though it's now starting at 3:30pm instead of 8pm.

@jenk3 Actually I forgot about Blue Thunder, so my post about "#sounders invented #seattle teams having marching bands" isn't right.

Although... AYCKSCHUALLY Blue Thunder is a *drumline,* not a marching band. Sooooooo...... #technicallycorrect?

@ssfckdt Drew Carey made sure Sound Wave is paid. Wonder how that affects other bands ;)
