I noticed iOS apps bypass Apple Private Relay. Is that intended behaviour?
@maxtown it’s only meant to work with Safari (and Mail?) right now afaik

Manage iCloud Private Relay for specific websites, networks, or system settings

Some websites, networks, and services might need to see your IP address or require the ability to audit traffic, perform network-based filtering, or view your browsing history.

iCloud Private Relay is an iCloud+ service that prevents networks and servers from monitoring a person's activity across the internet...

@maxtown Ah you’re right it applies to unencrypted traffic for apps “In iOS 15 and macOS 12, Private Relay will apply to all web browsing in Safari, all DNS name resolution queries, and a small subset of traffic from apps. Specifically, this will include all insecure HTTP traffic, such as TCP port 80.”
