what was so special about Sync For Reddit - Lemmy

Hello internet, So I’ve been seeing a lot of hype regarding Sync for Lemmy these past months, but I don’t know why. What’s so special about Sync for Reddit that I should I be looking forward to it for Lemmy? I never actually tried to sync for Reddit while I was on, well Reddit. Looking for some insight.
